CREW Las Vegas believes in giving back to the community it calls home. The group supports local charities throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Every year, CREW LV works toward this goal through and with member donations of time, money and items collected for various groups. An event is also held annually, supporting the charity chosen by the seated president. Groups such as The Shade Tree, Dress For Success, The Girls Scouts and local schools have all been beneficiaries. Since its inception, CREW Las Vegas has donated well over $40,000 to local charities.
Events have included a fashion show that promoted fashion and growth for the graduates of a local Dress for Success program. These graduates not only received clothing, but also learned how to dress for their new lives in the working world. The Shade Tree, a shelter for homeless and abused women and children in crisis, offering life-changing services while promoting stability, dignity, and self-reliance has also been a recipient. We Care, a local women’s 12 step recovery program in Las Vegas was the latest recipient through the “Classic Las Vegas” event.
Throughout the year, other charities also benefit from CREW LV. Toys for Tots and the Firefighters Burn Foundation have been beneficiaries at the holidays annually, through donations of toys at the annual holiday luncheon. The girl scouts have been a beneficiary, as well as Las Vegas area schools. Through the Adopt A Class program, students were provided with food, clothing and classroom supplies.
