CREW Las Vegas February Luncheon Broke Attendance Records!

Mindy Kermes led the meeting and reiterated the need for more volunteers. If you wish to get more involved please speak up and reach out to our various committees. The more people we have helping, the stronger our chapter! We want you involved!

Speaking of committees, Mindy introduced Brittany Brown to talk specifically about the Social Committee. Please reach out to Brittany if you want to talk about fun stuff like planning parties or tours, etc. As far as fun, please be reminded to mark your calendars for the annual Run for the Roses event, scheduled for May 9th! Watch for your invites and reminders over the coming months!

Yes, we broke attendance records this month and we sure are proud of our topic and amazing panelists! It seems our members talking about commercial real estate is “hot”. Plus we had an all-star line up, along with a superstar moderator!

Please meet our amazing members who put together this wonderful discussion on “Brokering Las Vegas 2019 – Taking CRE to the Next Level”

So many great topics were covered and these experts hit it out of the park.

“How did you get started in commercial real estate?”
Angelica – Started out as a receptionist!
Kimberly – My Dad, it is a family thing.
Natalie – I needed a job and fell in love with the business.

“What is experiential retail?”
Angelica – A personal experience, something special. Currently working on Area 15, check it out.

“What is going on in the tenant rep world?”
Natalie – Yes, they may say there is 13-14% vacancy in eastern corridor or downtown, but the southwest and west are single digits. So much excitement around projects like UNLV Tech Park too.

“What about coworking space?”
Natalie – Here to stay. It is not a fad, but law firms and large tech firms are not suited, but ideal for gaming startups. Have not had a single call for it yet. People still need a broker.

“What is happening in the industrial world?”
Kimberly – Well it is not sexy, but it is the strongest segment with much demand. There is so much competition for the space. Check out North Las Vegas and the incredible growth around the Speedway. It is amazing.

A major theme was educating clients. All of the panelists seem to mention that and a strong enthusiasm for the amazing city of Las Vegas. The market is exploding in so many ways and it is nothing but great news for the Las Vegas metro area.
